How does it work?!
Send a Picture
Once you have enquired and booked, we will need the pictures of your guests. Each picture should be titled with the name of the person—this is SUPER important for the calligraphy step.
At this stage, we will discuss and agree on the writing style and colour for your place names.
Enquiries can be made via me on this website or through Odeta; you do not need to enquire with both of us. Whichever of us you contact first will be your direct point of contact.
Illustration
When the photos of your guests are shared with me, I will be able to create the illustrations for your place names.
Each guest will be drawn with their head turned to the left, a smile, and their eyes closed. An open smile will depend on the photo you provide, as the goal is for each guest to recognise themselves as accurately as possible.
Illustrations are completed at a rate of up to 3 weeks per 100 guests and are created on A6 size.
Calligraphy
The illustrations will then be given to Odeta B Calligraphy, who will lovingly add the names in the writing style and colour you chose at the start of your enquiry.
As you will have already labelled each photo with the guest’s name, Odeta will have access to these photos and can begin as soon as they are in her possession. Completion is within 2 weeks per 100 guests.
The final payment will be due prior to postage.
Delivery
After the balance is paid, your place names will be posted to you via tracked and signed-for delivery.
We will notify you once they have been posted and also send you a digital sneak peek of 2 place names!
Odeta and I will be working closely behind the scenes to bring your vision to life. While we aim to keep communication simple, if any issues arise at any point, please feel free to reach out to either of us.
And that’s it! You will receive your place cards ready for your big day!
Calligraphy Options
Writing Styles
The first step in the calligraphy stage is choosing the writing style you would like. Odeta offers four options: Brush, Classic, Modern, and Bouncy.
Brush Colour
Odeta offers a wide range of bright watercolour options, exclusively for the “Brush” writing style only.
Pointed Pen Colour
She can also offer a range of pointed-pen inks, including reflective metallic paints, available for the Classic, Modern, and Bouncy styles.
